Kia ora! My name is Briana (Bree) and I am currently doing my master’s thesis in the Enhance Lab looking at Pharmacogenetic Variants and associated metabolic biomarkers in Māori and Pacific Peoples. The purpose of my research is to help address health inequities in Aotearoa to ensure equal health outcomes. I’m originally from Nelson and completed my undergraduate and PgDipSci at Otago University in Dunedin before moving to Christchurch to study a master’s thesis at Otago University – Christchurch Campus. I have recently moved back down to Dunedin to finish up my master’s alongside pursing a PhD in 2026.
